Guide for preparing a formula feeding

Our step-by-step guide will show you how to make a formula bottle.

When preparing for best organic baby formula, it is important to practice good hygiene. A Baby’s immune system may not be as strong as that of an adult. This makes them more susceptible to infection and infections, especially diarrhea and vomiting.

Our step-by-step guide will show you how to make a bottle.

Step 1: Fill the kettle with water

At least 1 liter should be taken from the tap. Do not boil water that has already been boiled, do not use artificially softened water. It is not recommended to use bottled water for making a feed because it may be sterile or contain too much sodium (or sulphate).

Step 2: Boil the water

Let it calm down for at minimum 30 minutes.

Step 3: Wash your hands and clean the area

It is important to thoroughly wash your hands and disinfect any surfaces you plan to use.

Step 4: Rinse the water and shake it off

If you are using cold-water sterilizers, shake off any solution left in the bottle or teat. Rinse them with cool boiled water (not tap water) Next, place your sterilized baby bottle on the clean, disinfected surface.

Step 5: Add the water to your cup.

Double-check that you have the correct amount of water and use the right amount. Before adding powdered formula, always put hot water into the bottle.

Step 6: Fill the scoop with formula powder

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Use the provided leveler or the flat edge of your clean, dry knife to level it. Different scoops come with different tins. Use only the measuring spoon that came with your formula.

Step 7: Place the teat back onto the bottle

Place the teat on the bottle by holding the edge. Next, screw the retaining rings onto the bottle. Cover the teat with a cap and shake the bottle to ensure that all the formula powder is dissolved.

Step 8: Let the baby drink from the bottle.

You need to cool the formula to ensure it is not too hot. This can be done by placing the bottle, with the lid on, under cold running water.

Step 9: Check the temperature

Before you give the formula to your baby, make sure that it is at the right temperature. It should feel warm or cool to the touch, but not too hot.

Step 10: Discard unusable feed

Always throw away any leftover formula after your baby finishes eating.

Here are some tips for making formula feeds

  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions as they may vary in how much powder or water is to be used. Always use to buy infant formula from Organic`s Best Shop.
  • Do not add more formula powder to your baby’s diet as this could cause constipation or dehydration. Too much powder can cause your baby to not get the nutrition they need.
  • You should not add any other ingredients to the bottle, such as sugar or cereals.
  • Do not heat formula in the microwave as it can cause uneven heating and burn your baby’s lips.
  • Each baby should have a separate feed. Bacteria can quickly multiply at room temperature so it is important to make sure that each feeding is made as necessary. Surprised to learn that even sealed formula packets may contain bacteria.
  • Babies younger than six months and those with a weaker immune system, such as premature babies, are more susceptible to bacteria. If your baby was prematurely born, it is important to follow these guidelines.
